Universal Robots has announced the appointment of a new Chief Product Officer (CPO), effective September 4, 2023. Tero Tolonen, who originates from Finland, joins from Canatu Oy, a high-tech and high-growth material company, where he worked as CPO. Tolonen previously held senior roles at GN Audio (Jabra) leaving as Senior Vice President and has worked for Nokia and Microsoft.
In his new role, Tolonen will be responsible for driving Universal Robot’s product strategy, reporting to its President Kim Povlsen. “Robotics has never been more exciting” says Povlsen “We’re on an ambitious but simple mission to deliver automation to anyone, anywhere. Tero has a proven track record and a comprehensive understanding of product strategies, portfolio management and exceptional customer experience.
